Visiting the Kirkland area and beautiful surroundings, we decided to adventure into Persian cuisine (our first ever) and came across Rumi. Their hospitality, friendliness, and the wonderful dinner we had, upon their suggestions, were all first class! The lamb, the chicken and the beef were all done to perfection, flavorful and tender and the sides of rice were just as tasty. Thank you for making our first Persian meal experience a very pleasant one!!

We wanted a good tasting low-carb meal and wanted to avoid the noise and too-familiar dishes of a chain restaurant. Their lamb special, with salad as the side had amazing flavor and texture contrasts, great spice combinations and even the roasted veggies were delicious. We also loved the recommended smoked and spiced eggplant appetizer, which, while it doesn't sound exciting, we scarfed it and wanted more. The atmosphere was muted and relaxed with sounds of a trickling water fountain and quiet traditional music in the background.

Unfortunately this place appear to be a family run business, and just like many family run restaurants they have very limited capacity, meaning that if you happen to be there when there are a few more customers you may have to wait for your food. Recently we waited more than 40 minutes for ours. Another issue here is the food quality is not always consistent. We've had really good koobideh here, but also dry and tasteless ones. Given that there are other Persian places (bigger and more consistent) on the east side, we probably would opt for other ones in the future. It's really hard to justify the ridiculous wait and inconsistent food quality when I'm paying over 40 bucks for 2 people.

Quiet and gorgeous set up! Came this way for the indian place (that’s closed on a random Tuesday) but this was just great! Definitely coming back!
